Looking to spruce up your pontoon boat but don’t know how? Passed on accessories you wish you had now? There are plenty of reasons to upgrade your pontoon with fun and usable features and there are plenty of ways to do it. Here at North Georgia Watersports, we’ve provided a list of some of our favorite accessories that are relatively affordable and easy to install. Your pontoon will create awesome memories for you and your passengers, so why not make the most of it? If you need supplies, accessories, or help with installation, stop by our location in Blairsville, Georgia. We serve Atlanta, Gainesville, Hiawassee, and Blue Ridge, Georgia, as well as Murphy, North Carolina.
Fence Mount Grill
For those who bought their pontoons without the added grill and maybe are regretting it now, look no further than the Fence mount grill. For your long days on the water that would be perfect with just a dash of hot dogs and hamburgers, this grill has standard 2” fencing and can easily be installed and removed as needed. And when it’s time to store your boat, you can also pack it away.
Bumpers
Looking for something to make your boat last longer? Bumpers are a great way to save your boat from minor impacts. Corner bumpers help protect your boat from rookie mistakes while pulling into the dock. If you’re new to driving your pontoon, you might want them sooner, rather than later.
Lighting
Whether your lights serve a practical purpose or just to add fun flair to your boat, adding lights is possibly one of the easiest and most basic accessories for your pontoon. Not to mention, it adds a ton of customization options, from under-deck lighting to make you the coolest boaters on the water to an emergency light for safer navigation after dark. LED lights provide lots of light without draining nearly as much power, meaning you can run your lights for as long as you need to without killing your battery in the middle of your outing.
Rod Holders
If you’ve recently taken to fishing, say after buying your boat, you can still add rod holders. Just like fence mounted grills, rod holders come built into some pontoon models but can also be installed after purchasing the boat. This way, you can relax, fish, and enjoy your day on the water the way you want.
Bungee Dock Lines
While some boaters might be knot savvy, we know not everyone can be an expert. Sometimes even bowlines are a little tricky. If you’re looking for an easier way to secure your boat to the marina, you may want to check out bungee dock lines. They’re simple enough that even young sailors can use them, not to mention they put less stress on your boat’s cleats. Easy to use and better for your boat – a perfect combination, if you ask us.
Your pontoon should look exactly how you want it to look. It should be as basic or as fancy as you need it to be and our experienced staff at North Georgia Watersports want to help you with that. We’re happy to help you find all the accessories you need so that you have the best on-water experience every single time.
